Why Your Support Matters
Independent colorguard, often referred to as “the sport of the arts,” is a highly competitive and expensive endeavor. Unlike school teams, we receive no external funding from schools or booster clubs. Every flag, every uniform, every mile traveled, and every minute of rehearsal space is paid for through member dues, fundraising, and the generosity of supporters like you.
Your donation directly impacts our season and our members. Here’s what your support helps us achieve:
- Costuming and Equipment: Purchasing custom-designed uniforms, flags, rifles, and sabers that bring our artistic vision to life.
- Rehearsal Space: Securing safe and adequate gym and floor time—our “home”—where we can practice the intricate choreography that defines our performance.
- Transportation and Competition Fees: Covering the travel costs and entry fees necessary to compete at local and regional events.
- Design and Instruction: Hiring a world-class creative and instructional team to push our members’ abilities and create a competitive, innovative show.

We’ve set an ambitious goal to fund our 2026 season and cover the rising costs of competing at the highest level. Every donation, large or small, brings us closer to the floor.
What does your donation cover?

| $25 – $50 | Funds a new rifle or saber for practice. |
| $100 – $200 | Secures about two hours of essential gym rehearsal time. |
| $150 – $250 | Covers the cost of one custom-made uniform piece. |
| $300 – $700 | Helps pay for transportation to a major regional event. |

Sponsor a Member:
In addition to fundraising, our members are required to pay annual dues/tuition to help offset season expenses. The dues for 2026 are $650. Often times, family and community members/small businesses will offer to sponsor the performer and cover the cost of their dues. You can use the link below to provide a sponsorship. If you already know a member that you would like the money to go to, just list their name in the comments section. If you are interested in sponsoring but do not have a specific person in mind, reach out to us at info@winterskycg.org and we can discuss which of our members are in need.
